The medium of Instruction of MBA is English.
MBA Structure of the Programme
This Department offers M.B.A. (Full time) programme of
2 years duration, divided into 4 semesters.
Teaching Methods and Evaluation:
The Department is using pedagogical methods which enable students
to think creatively, develop interpersonal skills, and sharpen their
decision making ability. Though emphasis is given to the case method,
which has a pervading impact, Lectures, Discussions, Seminars, Simulation
Exercises, Management Games and Role Plays all are given their due
importance.
Placement
Placement cell organises campus interviews, and counsels students
on career choices. It functions under the guidance of Placement
Officer.
MBA Eligiblity for admission
Graduate in any discipline
Minimum Marks: 50% Marks in Part-III (For SC/ST - A pass is the
minimum qualification)
MBA Number of Seats
The total number of seats for mba is 60
MBA Mode of Selection
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in
their qualifying examinations, the entrance test and the interview.
The qualifying examination will carry 250 marks, the entrance test
will be for 200 marks and 50 marks for the interview.
Master of Business Administration Method of
Selection
Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in Part
–III and the marks obtained in the interview. The qualifying
examination marks under Part-III will be reduced to 200 and that
the marks obtained by the candidates at the interview out of 30
marks will be put together and the selection will be made.
Reservation of Seats:
Reservation of seats for candidates belonging to ST/ SC/ MBC/ BC/
OC communities will be made as per rules and regulations of the
Government of Tamil Nadu.
Among the above reservation, 3% seats have been included for disabled
persons as per norms laid down by the Government.
